How to Reload Your Forex Card While Travelling

FxPertise Team2 June 20264 min read

Running out of balance on a forex card mid-trip is one of the most common travel worries, but reloading is usually far simpler than people expect — as long as you have set it up correctly before you left.

Set up online reload before you travel

Most forex card providers let you reload funds through an online portal or app using a linked Indian bank account or UPI. Registering for this access before departure means you can top up from anywhere with an internet connection, without needing a local branch.

Keep your documents handy

Reloading while abroad may still require you to confirm your identity and, depending on the amount, provide your PAN details. Keep a scanned copy of your passport and PAN card accessible on your phone so you are not stuck searching for them.

Mind the processing time

Reload requests are not always instant — depending on the provider, funds can take anywhere from a few minutes to a business day to reflect. Reload when your balance is still comfortable, rather than waiting until you are down to your last few units of currency.
